Superbe - 1782

The Superbe was a French vessel of 74 canons, built from the plans of the architect Jacques Noël Sane.  The Superbe was built in Brest in 1782 and was launched in 1784.  Our model of the Superbe is our favourite display model as it is very detailed, has lots of open sails and rigging and offers a lot of information about the French war sailing ships of that era and makes a fabulous display piece.
