The East India Company ship Saint Géran was launched in 1736, at Lorient.  It wrecked on the Indian Ocean coast of the Isle de France (now Mauritius) in 1744.  The ship St Géran was immortalised in Bernardin de St Pierre's world famous book: Paul et Virginie.  The vessel had 28 canons and had a well decorated poop, making this one of the most popular models.
