The Leeuwin II is Australia's largest tall ship training vessel. A three-masted barquentine, the Leeuwin II was purpose-built by naval architect Len Rendell in 1981. The original dream of using the ship as a training ship continues today as the Leeuwin Ocean Adventure Foundation takes group of people on various voyages. As the Leeuwin II is a working ship, everyone on board is expected to chip in to sail the ship.

Our first model of this magnificent ship was specially commissioned as a gift to a policeman who had organised a trip as a volunteer for a group of youths living in the country who had never seen the sea. His story is a shining example of the impact that such an adventure can have on the life of a young person.

You will find the original Leeuwin II moored in Fremantle, Western Australia.  More information can be obtained at sailleeuwin.com
