The Golden Hind is the very well known ship that had at the helm Sir Francis Drake. On returning from his world adventures, Drake was able to present to the British Queen enough gold and silver, won against mostly Spanish galleons, to eliminate England's debts. The Golden Hind was 75 feet in length and 20 feet in width.

Our model of the Golden Hind is decorated similarly to the actual Golden Hinde replica built in 1973 and now berthed on the Thames river in Bankside, England.
